CMS Chapter Vice-President’s Biography

Stephanie Collins

As a staunch advocate for the organization’s core objectives, Enabling all present and future Black employees in Local, State, and Federal governments to have the ability to maximize their career opportunities and provide a mechanism for inclusion, growth, and advocacy, I joined Blacks in Government at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (BIG@CMS) in 2023.

My professional background combines my experience as an R.N. and an attorney; I’m a Nurse Consultant at CMS, integrating my passion for healthcare and advocacy.

I am a proud alumnus of the University of Tennessee and the George Washington University Law School.

My passion for equality in all its forms drives my involvement in BIG. It’s about creating a strong community where we draw strength from each other and remain committed to our integrity, accountability, and advocacy ideals.

I live in Alexandria and enjoy playing chess, reading, volunteering in my Faith Community, and staying active.
